Right of Withdrawal
If you are an EU consumer, you have a right of withdrawal: 14 days from the day you sign up for a society membership in which to withdraw from that purchase, without giving a reason. Where you have joined more than one society, this right applies separately to each membership.
How to exercise your right of withdrawal

If you use the withdrawal button, you will receive an automatic email acknowledging receipt of your request.
To meet the withdrawal deadline, it is sufficient for your notice to be sent before the 14-day period has expired.
Effect of withdrawal
If you withdraw, we will refund what you paid for that membership, using the same payment method you used for the original transaction, within 14 days of being informed of your decision. You will not incur any fees as a result of the reimbursement.
Joining a society grants you access to its events, channels, and member benefits from the day of signup. Where you have made use of any of these before withdrawing, we may deduct an amount proportionate to what you have already received, rather than refunding the full membership fee.
Exceptions
The right of withdrawal does not apply where:
- Your membership (a one-year or four-year term, depending on the society) has been fully performed before you exercise your right of withdrawal, and you had given your prior express consent that this would result in the loss of your right of withdrawal, or
- A society has supplied you with digital content — an event recording, an exclusive resource, etc. — the delivery of which began with your prior express consent and acknowledgment that you would thereby lose your right of withdrawal.
